Josh Ceballos is an NYC-based music director, pianist and keyboardist.
He is interested in the development of new works, particularly in the areas of diversity, equality, and Latine stories.
Josh is frequently praised not just for his technical abilities, but also for his contributions to fostering a positive environment of collaboration. He is passionate about highlighting people’s strengths and leading with kindness while also paying attention to the details.
He’s been the AMD/Music Assistant/Rehearsal Pianist on BUENA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB (Atlantic Theater, 2023). Josh was recently the AMD on THE TEMPEST (Public Works), which premiered at the Delacorte Theater in 2023. He was the Music Director on the National Tour of TOOTSIE (2022-2023). In the summer of 2022, Josh served as the AMD of AS YOU LIKE IT (Public Works).
Raised in Miami, Josh is influenced by the sounds of his Cuban-Dominican heritage. Josh grew up in the church as a latin percussionist and pianist, eventually finding joy in serving as a Music Director and Pianist for Northland Church in Orlando. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music and a Master’s in Management from the University of Florida.

Throughout the course of the show’s development, Josh has been the Associate Music Director, Music Assistant, and Rehearsal Pianist. Produced by the Atlantic Theatre, this show features music from the legendary Cuban band.

THE TEMPEST
Josh was the Associate Music Director on THE TEMPEST in the summer of 2023. This magical show was produced by the Public Theater as part of their Public Works program and performed at The Delacorte in Central Park
TOOTSIE, National Tour
Josh was the Music Director of the TOOTSIE national tour.
AS YOU LIKE IT
Josh is excited to work alongside Andrea Grody as the Associate Music Director for AS YOU LIKE IT with the Public Theater as a part of their Shakespeare in the Park series.
THE COLOR PURPLE, National Tour
In 2019-2020, Josh traveled as the Keyboard/Organ Sub on the National Tour of The Color Purple!
Evita
Josh wore many hats for the six-week run of Evita at Orlando Shakes! He was the Music Director, Conductor/Keys 1, Rehearsal Pianist, Ableton Programmer, and MainStage programmer.
Northland Church
Josh recently served as the Music Director and pianist at Northland Church before moving to NYC.
In The Heights
Josh served as Music Director, Conductor, and Pianist for the Orlando Shakes production of IN THE HEIGHTS, the Tony Award winning musical by Lin Manuel Miranda, creator of HAMILTON; AN AMERICAN MUSICAL.
